Who:

From the office to the field, Dexter + Chaney's Spectrum® Construction Software is used by more than 1,000 companies for accounting and business management, project management, equipment management, service management and document management.  Spectrum's web-based software applications allow customers to get work done anywhere using any device with a web browser and without the need to download any software.

 

What:

The Training Specialist’s role is to provide software training to Spectrum Construction Software® customers and Dexter + Chaney’s staff. Training is delivered in-person or remotely, and for audiences ranging from end-users to system administrators, and staff such as consultants, trainers, and project managers. The Training Specialist will also be responsible for learning new enhancements and software modifications to create or update training documentation as needed.

 

How:
• Provide Spectrum Construction Software® training remotely, via phone or using web-based tools.
• Provide Spectrum Construction Software® training in-person, at customer sites or Dexter + Chaney training facilities.
• Work with subject-matter-experts to develop course content and supporting materials. Deliverables may include user manuals, instructional videos, student handouts, instructor aides, practice databases, and self-paced modules.
• Ensure that materials are consistent with other product documentation (such as online help, user guides, and video tutorials) and are consistent with best practices usage of the software.
• Maintain existing training materials, ensuring that content is always current and available at the time of each software release.
• Conduct on-going content reviews to ensure that materials are accurate, effective, and meet the training needs of Dexter + Chaney’s clients and employees.
• Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.

 

You:
• Minimum of 2 – 5 years’ experience in software training, software support, and/or a consulting environment.
• Excellent writing, editing, communications, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Proficient with MS Office applications.
• BA/BS degree.
• Spectrum Construction Software® experience is highly desirable.
• Experience developing content specifically for the software industry is a plus.
• Experience in accounting and/or construction is a plus.
• Candidate must meet the following travel requirements. This position may require both domestic and international travel. A valid US driver’s license and ability to qualify for a US Passport are required. Travel requirements vary, averaging approximately 50%.
